Honey Butter Cornbread

A deliciously sweet and moist cornbread, enhanced with honey butter, perfect for a complementary dish at lunch or dinner.

What you need

tbsp honey

cup buttermilk

cup butter

cup milk

cup yellow cornmeal

tsp salt

cup all purpose flour

tbsp baking powder

Instructions
1. Grease your cast iron skillet and preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Melt the butter and honey. Set aside and let cool. 2. In a medium-sized bowl add the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix together. 3. Follow this up with the eggs, milk, and buttermilk. Use a spoon to mix this all together. 4. Pour the cornbread mixture into your greased cast iron pan. Bake for 35 minutes. 5. At the 18 minute mark brush your cornbread with a little bit of the honey butter. Pop it back in the oven to finish baking. 6. Once done, use a toothpick to see if it's ready. Brush with more honey butter and enjoy!
